i am terribly shy and overly pretentious. it's quite unhealthy, actually

partial to irresistible melodies, quivering vocals, allegorical songwriting, folky ballads, and sick beats

also a sucker for anthemic riffs, somber arpeggios, wistful piano, dirge-y compositions filled with apocalyptic imagery, the motherfucking kick drum (+ those crisp, crisp snares)

i prefer my live shows raw, gritty, and unhinged

have faith in fatalism, squagels + smash the state !!

my rating rubric:

5.0: remarkably brilliant; essential releases
4.5: outstanding; always a rewarding listen
4.0: mostly excellent; highly recommended
3.5: solid despite shortcomings; a bit uneven
3.0: passable; decent but unexceptional
2.5: slightly subpar; worth a listen though
2.0: bearable; weak, but has its moments
1.5: seriously flawed
1.0: just plain awful
0.5: downright unlistenable
