Played the demo, this is like a spiritual successor to Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber [オウガバトル64 Person of Lordly Caliber] and possibly even better.

The main plot isn't very strong, but the subplots with all the characters enhance it. The ending and epilogue are rewarding.
Gameplay-wise this is one of the most fun TRPGs with lots of side content.
