Nostalgia is a bitch sometimes and well Lion King holds a place pretty close to me in terms of nostalgia, its a movie I grew up with in the mid 90s and watched countless times, I would rewatch the movie and rewind to hear the songs again, and hell its still probably my favorite Disney movie, but the game also holds some nostalgia value too. In the mid 90s we used to own a Sega Genesis and this is one of the games I had for it, and funny thing is its one of the first games I actually remember playing, I was probably about 4 maybe 5 years old, my parents actually have an old VHS tape from when I was a little kid with me playing this game in it. I don't remember too much about it to be honest, I just remember the first level where you mostly jump on bugs and then that one annoying level where you ride the Ostrich and navigate through giraffes and monkey trees. To be fair I never got far in this game, it was hard, you took damage like a bitch and the platforming was a bit awkward. It felt like a bit of a cash grab game, it just wasn't interesting and it wasn't even too similar to the movie. Plus the game doesn't really have any cutscenes until the end, its not a horrible game, but it hasn't aged well and is frustratingly hard at times and feels a bit too irrelevant from the movie's progression.
