- Kind of interesting to see otakus and weaboos form an entire subculture based on shitty english dubs. Might just be me, but whatever.
- I think Plumbers Don't Wear Ties had a more emotional performance than this
- Did Filthy Frank's uncle voice "Immurgensay! Ammurgency! All "Marevick" hunters on caw.... to assembal immediatlee!" or some shit?
-"Who are you?" "My masterpiece." "but, who are you?" [insert missing father figure joke here]
-I know these guys' budget for Mega Man 8 was like $30. How the fuck did they lower that even further in here?
- Double's line, "Nothing to worry about~" is like the only well-executed line in this... slopfest
- Some of the VA's here have this distinct, "fatigued" accent where they're close to speaking "normally" but don't bother pronouncing certain sounds properly and just kinda half-ass it, you know? I find this rather common amongst filipinos, latinos and foreigns in general. Whenever I hear myself in a recording or video, I also find myself showing off this "fatigued" accent from time to time.
-Letting some random businesswoman make a voice impression of a cheerleader while voicing a robot who I'm assuming is supposed to be a matured, war-hardened peacekeeper who has no time to for PTSD to kick in is... a little mind-numbing to say the least.
- Megaman 8's voice acting was bad but you could tell they still gave some fucks, causing the end product to be a boring listen. Fortunately, they practically stopped giving any fucks altogether in this one, creating a more entertaining product in the process.

This is the first mega man game to be taken into 3d, suffice to say that capcom were clearly using this as a gimmick to sell the game as there's far less personality here than its predecessors even with these being much more to offer here.
I guess they realised that the previous entry was too difficult and lacked personality as they decided to lower the difficulty considerably as well as give dialogue to the mavericks which their predecessors lacked in earlier games. The trade-off is that we have mavericks that sure have stuff to say but are more generic with their battles this time around. I guess the fact there's more than one campaign was meant to make up for this as we have xs campaigns as well as zeros which does mix things up a bit.
It's not a terrible game, just one that falls short of its predecessors as it's clearly meant to be style over substance which is something new to this franchise.

I have to admit, this wasn't quite as bad as I expected and actually is a slight improvement over X2 and X3, but its still a pretty pail comparison to the first X. The difficulty on this actually felt a bit more fair and balanced and the bosses in this weren't as forgettable and bland as the previous 2 games, but there are still some annoying moments, one level is pretty much a Battle Toads style Jet Ski level that is full of instant death bullshit, and another level that is a time trial where you have to rush and complete the level as fast as possible, which is another annoying level. Although I do prefer the Final levels of this game because there are no annoying bullshit levels with instant kill traps, its mostly just short segments that lead straight to the boss, which is a lot better than going through an annoying gauntlet of cheap platforming and tough enemies. Although the final boss in this game is kind of annoying, but still an improvement over the past 2 X games. The graphic style of this also is a little weird, maybe its just me but it just comes off kind of odd looking to me. I feel this graphic style hasn't aged as well as the first 3 X games. The story in this is also pretty forgettable and feels a bit more dragged out than the previous games, there is more dialog in this and more cutscenes, but to be honest, I'm not going to complain too much because this game was a relief to play after the blandness and poor design choices of the previous 2 X games and there were really only 2 levels in this game that I found poorly designed. Plus after this the X series sort of jumped the shark in terms of story, gameplay, and design. So this is really the last decent X game because X5 onward were just trash.

endlessly charming, a unique entry into the franchise that gives all the characters actual character.
