this game is so fucking good

the combat is so much better in this game compared to the first. doesn't compare to later entries in the series, but the level of customization and strategy is noticeably improved. plot is better than the first too

so... long... 112 hours for my playthrough, but holy fuck was it worth it. there really is nothing like this game. can't wait to play the rest of this massive series.

Shoutout to the localization team who almost died in the process of giving this masterpiece to us

one of the central plot points of this is that some dude picks up MMA which, as all things do, steers him into becoming a terrorist

I liked this game overall, it has some fantastic moments, but it's not the GOAT status RPG people are hyping it up to be. It has some large pacing issues, especially in the first half, the game could have easily been shortened by almost 10 hours, and it has some annoying anime tropes at the end. Still, very good characters and often good story moments. The last 10 hours of the first game is still better than anything in this game imo, even if the overall game wasn't.
