Title
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC continues the operation with a few minor tweaks to combat and systems, as the plot veers towards more and more derivative territory. Certain heartfelt character moments (Agate and Tita in particular) stand out, but there's not a whole lot else to engage the player if they aren't already invested in the story. The few improvements over its predecessor (actual difficulty and dungeons this time) were marred by yet another weak final chapter.

    the combat is so much better in this game compared to the first. doesn't compare to later entries in the series, but the level of customization and strategy is noticeably improved. plot is better than the first too

    I liked this game overall, it has some fantastic moments, but it's not the GOAT status RPG people are hyping it up to be. It has some large pacing issues, especially in the first half, the game could have easily been shortened by almost 10 hours, and it has some annoying anime tropes at the end. Still, very good characters and often good story moments. The last 10 hours of the first game is still better than anything in this game imo, even if the overall game wasn't.
