Build a deck and duke it out in a deadly game of Friends vs Friends, the wacky, deckbuilding shooter where playing the right cards means life or death.
About all you could ask for in an indie FPS. Fast paced rounds that make you say "one more game", a fun art-style, rewarding/skillful gunplay, and probably the best gimmick to hit FPS in years. I say "gimmick" lightly, bcuz unlike a lot of recent FPS games with a short lived time in the sun (Quantum League, Battalion) this has real depth beyond looking cool for a trailer. You'll consistently find new strategies and synergies in the cards you bring to each match. The cards are game changing but hardly ever feel unfair, most matches are close and I always think "I could've won if I had just done [x] slightly better" afterwards. After a bit over month the game has stabilized around 400 to 600 players peak (the higher numbers on weekends), which is a healthy regular player base for a 1v1 & 2v2 game with room to grow.
My one main criticism is the progression. This game takes a lot from deckbuilders, and unfortunately that includes opening random packs to get new cards. If the packs just contained card upgrades that would be fine, but opening dozens of packs in a row and getting no new cards is extremely frustrating. Luck is not an enjoyable form of progression, true with physical TCGs and it's still true here. I wish there was simply a level up progression path to getting new cards. It's not P2W in any way thankfully (there are no microtransactions in the game), just annoying.
That one flaw aside, this is an excellent game with a bright future. Don't miss out.

shoutouts to the devs for already patching in level-based matchmaking and speeding up level progression lol, those seemed like the most prominent issues with the game and they're already fixed before launch day's really over
Fun with friends, but needs a ranking system because this level-based matchmaking is busted. Could be really fun when it gets some more interesting cards and polish
has a really grating contemporary twee aesthetic that doesnt even seem congruent with itself; one of the characters sometimes says before a match, "let's spike this punch" ? lol
The contrast is intentional I think. I mean, it's a bunch of anthropomorphic animals slaughtering each other with guns & magical cards. It's probably best that they leaned into the silliness.
