Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest

Conquest is pretty lit aside from the dumbass story, but yeah Birthright is pretty bad. And yeah, they should be separately listed, this isn't a Pokemon situation.

I kinda wish I could rate gameplay and story separately for Conquest. The story is a complete mess and the characters are shallow and poorly written, but as far as map design goes this is one of the best games in the franchise. The gameplay aspect here is really fucking fun. Birthright is similar, but the story isn't nearly as bad and the map design isn't nearly as good so I'm way less conflicted with giving it that 7/10 rating (though the story is worse than a 7, ngl)

I always assumed fire emblem plots were nonsensical since I got into it on the 3DS, but after playing earlier games I started to wonder what they were on when they wrote this.

best aesthetic design of any fire emblem game, but the story just constantly felt like ass-pulls

modern FE's one bright spot. shame they learned nothing from it for the sequels.

put 160 hours into this as a kid, replayed it recently and saw how shite the story was lol
