Deadpool

The story is nonsensical for the most part, (not sure whether it's on purpose or not) especially in regard to its transitions, and the combat doesn't change a whole lot throughout the game, but Deadpool is as good a game as any fan of the comic character could ever expect.

It's just such an imaginative game and almost acts like a rollercoaster that you strap yourself in and let it happen to you. I don't want to spoil the various sections aside from the core shooting, but the game does a fantastic job of breaking up the shooting sections with strange little side moments, always making fun of other games along the way.

Certainly better than the film was.

Like the typical licensed game, its a mediocre game. It manages to be funny actually at times, even if its humour is very juvenile and filled with memes or other pop culture references that have a very short lifespan.

Still the combat is pretty bad. Its not just deadpool combos which are very limited, its that the enemies are bullet sponges as well. It feels janky, and not very satisfying to play. The end of the game has one of the most annoying sequences when its just waves after waves of enemies being thrown at you, and its a chore to get through.

I still had my fun with it, particular towards the middle of the game. It just needed a better combat system.
