lots of nostalgia for this one in particular so i tend to defend this one a lot more when it comes to 3D sonic. i'll always respect the team behind this one for really going all out when it comes to the story and overall adventure, and for actually pulling it off decently well. i can't deny it's earned its divisive reputation but i'll always have a soft spot for it and all its occasional weirdness.

kinda underrated. soundtrack is awesome.

there's so many things wrong with this game but i genuinely cannot bring myself to hate it. i might even have a little soft spot for it if i'm being honest (the soundtrack probably carries a lot of the weight here) it might be garbage but its very entertaining garbage at least, which i couldn't really say for some other games in this series.

i love having to play through the same buggy game four times in a row to get to the somewhat satisfying ending thanks guys. gee i hope they don't pull anything like this again that would be terrible.

playing this is a nightmare but i actually like some of the cutscenes and interactions. even if the concept is absolutely insane lol.

this is such a flawed game on so many fundamental levels that i can't believe the guy who pitched the idea to have the story and progression of the game structured like it is wasn't fired instantly and banned from ever designing any other video games.

i hate sonic boom but at least you can actually control your movement in that game and stuff. reading that back and i'm shocked that the bar is really set that low for these games. they really split the dev team of 06 to make this?

there's a lot of bad games in this series but i can't think of any that are as totally soul-sucking as this one. at least you can glitch to the end pretty fast i guess.

any bit of good faith or excitement people had in this series after sonic mania was just totally squashed after this snoozefest came out. nice one team.

just like, one of the most pleasant and easy to enjoy games ever made. pretty much everything about it is super loveable.

my least favorite mainline pokemon game that i've played. i just don't see any reason to come back to this at all now considering there's both baller gen 2 remakes and amazing romhacks that actually make this a balanced and overall more enjoyable experience.

the only reason i'd wanna play this nowadays is to abuse all the insane glitches and absolutely destroy everything. that being said, that can be a lot of fun.
