AI flagrantly cheats by input reading constantly, but everything really is an upgrade over the original entry. They brought in the blood! I mean come the fuck on. Everything on this is fuckin great outside of the normal campaign. Seems like this was meant to be played with another human lol.

I mean yes this game is great, I just suck and the controls/map are not the greatest. The people that say space jump controls work are coping to the fucking max. I cannot for the life of me make the space jumps work. Also grapple beam is unbelievably clunky to use. I could never get the appropriate timing to have the right momentum + release the grapple to get to a higher ledge. It felt like water torture at times. idk, I obviously enjoyed the game and understand how absolutely seminal it is to video games in general, but I actually prefer Zero Mission lol. Maybe this will warrant replays for me to rate this higher, but I found myself peeking at guides multiple times because I forgot where I was as the maps are archaic dogshit to use. I found myself getting stuck at where the fuck to go numerous times...again, skill issue probably, but whatever, it is what it is. But yeah, incredibly tense, wonderfully alien atmosphere, cool upgrades, horrifying boss fights, brilliant music, yaddayadda.

Sure, the game is laughably silly and there is really no depth at all, but I find I can pop this game on after SO LONG of not playing it randomly and have a fucking blast for 30 minutes. I remember first being introduced to this game when I was like 9, and I laughed my balls off then. It is still hilarious now too. I will never not tire of bulldozing pedestrians and hearing the horrific "AHHHHH" or the apathetic "yeah" when collecting money bags, or "ARRIBA!" when speeding over a bump, or especially running over a pedestrian quad on the road..

Again, absolutely fantastic music and lovely quirky characters, that goes without saying. 1st case was kinda silly, 2nd case had incredible moments and a good premise but made you stretch your imagination a few times that felt rather implausible. Also regarding case 2, it was established by Morgan that when the channeling occurs, only the spirit medium and subject are allowed in the room at the time and they are locked in while the channeler possesses the ONLY KEY. So with that in mind, it is an extremely careless way of going about the way the ritual is carried out as something insane might happen either with the spirit medium or the subject attack each other (which of course happens). There are no safeguards in place, so if bad shit just happens, Morgan will be forced to break down the locked door (which will probably be impossible) to quell the situation. It made me think of that Austin Powers scene where Dr. Evil puts Austin in the unnecessarily slow moving platform into the tank of killer seabass and closes the door and expects everything will go to plan lol. Case 3 is the worst case in the franchise, although figuring out Acro was intending to kill Regina and not The Ringmaster was a good twist, and 4 overall was great, but Matt Enguardes evil split personality reveal was kinda cringey and silly. Overall I enjoyed this game but AA 1 and 3 are simply better.

This game really runs like a fantastic few episodes of the series, and I absolutely adore it for that. Found it frustrating at times at what the game expects you to present at certain times though. I had to look at a guide a couple of times. Gameplay felt very on rails, but they obviously kept the gameplay to a minimum to simply serve as a vehicle for the jokes and skits. The comedy really made the ride kind of worth it. Most jokes land very well, even better than most actual episodes of the series. Unfortunate Steven Colbert couldn't make his appearance for Phil (the substitute isn't bad at all but I can obviously tell it simply isn't the same), but it seems like the rest of the crew is present which is wonderful.

Retarded AI, no point-and-click controls, meaningless story mode, and slow grind against retarded CPUs to get more cards. This era of the yugioh cardpool was one of the best, but unfortunately the experience found in this package just seemed ridiculously rushed and was only made to get a quick cash grab from the yuginerds on the newest Nintendo console before completely abandoning mainline consoles entirely. Basically the only saving grace is the AI think speed is thankfully decently paced and the online at the time for this was probably fun.

I do not like two things: when you are playing detective, the game forces you to examine one particular thing to advance the plot, and then sometimes it forces you to present something to a particular character in order to advance the plot. I found myself a few times spending 20 minutes examining every square inch anywhere I could go and presenting literally everything to everyone before the plot advances. Also, during cross-examinations, the game expects you to present the exact evidence the game wants you to, even if you presented something that could logically count as the correct answer. I found a few times that scenario coming up and getting really frustrated for no good reason, forcing me to cheat and peek at a guide online. Other than that, the characters are so fucking fun, the scenarios and dialog you come into contact with can be comical and actually tense when the game tries. The game is a visual novel so you cannot really criticize the gameplay. It is simply a fun story with quirky characters. The music is pretty great as well. Gumshoe's theme and most of the courtroom music are fantastic. The court system is a total kangaroo court with flagrant amounts of corruption from witnesses to the prosecution itself, and rules seemingly get made up on the fly in the courtroom of Phoenix Wright. All this make for quite the wild ride.

I was not really disappointed at all. RE4 is one of my favorite games ever, and this remake modernizes it in a way that does not ruin the flow and atmosphere of the game. The graphics and sound/soundtrack for the original and this game are both complete standouts in both respective generations. I will say that I love the gameplay, but I am not a huge fan of the crosshair. The laser was just so much more unique and fitting in the original, and it was very accurate. The combat is pretty much brilliantly tense and full of action, and having the option to auto-sort the attache case was a godsend lol. Now for a significant negative: it was painfully obvious the tone of the dialog was changed from campy/goofy to serious/tense. I prefer the former, as the original charm was lost in translation, and some of the line changes really altered the personality of a few characters. Ramon was not nearly as campy as the original, and Leon curses a lot more which honestly was not really necessary. The new Krauser VA was fucking terrible. Also, THEY REMOVED ALL SEXUAL/FLIRTY/WOMEN INSULTING CONNOTATIONS IN ALL THE DIALOG. No more ballistics with the presidents daughter from Luis, no overtime flirting with Ashley at the end, no bitch in the red dress scene with Krauser, no --pfft women-- comment from Leon, among other instances. They completely pussied out on the dialog in favor of a more serious tone. The tone of the dialog in the original was the perfect amount of cheese and tenseness. I think they made too much of a compromise there, but hey, we are in the age of snowflakes, so no fun allowed, only cursing. Boss fights were incredible as always. The Predator like boss was the most frightening boss I have ever fought. More terrifying than most Dark Souls bosses. Brilliant reimagining of that boss in this. More guns, more treasures is obviously fantastic. The removal of JJ in favor of the pigman was actually a cool choice, I really love the pigman. Removing the U3 boss fight was an odd choice though. Also, FUCK CAPCOM for making Assignment Ada/Separate Ways paid DLC for a later release, and making the Mercenaries paid DLC. I fucking hate how game companies paywall features that already should be in the fucking game. I already paid $60, give me the whole complete experience. I have to say that I enjoyed playing this remake A LOT...but the tone and dialog changes still makes me believe the original is still superior. And like I said, fuck them for paywalling the bonus modes.

Pretty sure most people that enjoy well thought-out game mechanics and well-designed games have the same gripes I had with this. The constant cutscene button presses cutscenes require you to engage in is irritating to no end, it completely ruins the immersion. Why the fuck do I have to press A to drink at a bar DURING A CUTSCENE? Why do I have to hold a button to follow a group of people during a cutscene? Why do I have to press buttons during a fucking montage to lay wood and hammer nails? It makes no goddamn sense. Arthurs voice is totally comical. He sounds exactly like the Conservative Twins on Youtube. It sounds so forced. I remember he was talking to Hosea in one mission, and randomly he said in the most impatient and parodied way: ARE YOU HAVIN A GOOD TIIIIIIIME HOSEA? I laughed my fuckin nuts off. The NPCs that constantly try to veer you off of what you are doing are also obnoxious. I mean sure, This is an open sandbox, and encouraging the player to fuck around with stuff is good, but the NPCs will try to grab you way too frequently. I do not give a fuck that someone stole 5 dollars from you or that you need me to pick up medicine from the doctor in town or you got bit by a snake. Let me do cowboy shit. Game was way too long for its own good as well. I felt like I wanted to drop this game after the swamp mission. They teased the notion that Dutch was mental and unfit to be the leader way longer than they should have. It was very tiresome. I will say the graphics are some of the best I have ever seen, and the poker sim is an improvement because of the ability to see stack sizes...but WHY THE FUCK DID THEY CAP THE HIGH ROLLER TABLES AT $50 BUY-IN, AND AND YOU CANNOT GET THERE TILL POST-GAME? Did they not want you to cheese the game and win money too quickly? The first RDR did not do that, why the shit would they change that? I have many more gripes, but thats all I care to say for now. This game belongs in the Zelda BotW tier of most overrated game of all time. This game generally did not improve or change much at all from the last game, it is unfortunate this game is simply not as engaging and consistently fun.

Unbelievably charming and fun, this is the formula that totally set a precedent for Mario RPGs to come. Only gripe really is that collecting the beanstar pieces mid-late game felt forced, making you backtrack all over the map doing pointless minigames/scavenger hunts which felt really boring and repetitive. But yea, killer soundtrack, quirky dialog that really gives personality to everyone, fantastic looking sprite work, easy to learn/intuitive gameplay, and Mario nostalgia galore.

Probably deserves a slightly higher score, but 1) I kinda suck at this game and 2) I know for a fact the later entries further improve on this formula, because I distinctly remember playing Days of Ruin years ago and really enjoying it. This is a very kiddie-like presentation of a strategy game of this kind, but it does get the point across with extremely engaging gameplay and really forces you to use the utmost tact in every scenario. The music is surprisingly decent. The bass really comes though vibrantly, and the credits song was so triumphant. The final boss battle was fucking retarded hard.

Functionally solid gameplay, which is why it gets a positive rating in my book, but just does not quite recreate the magic that the original two titles had. Enemies and overall presentation does not engage me at all really. Music is cheating, because most level rehash the original David Wise score. I would not call this soulless...but, it is hard to capture the exact magic and charm the original two brought to the table, in which both titles pushed the hardware to the max, and really broke unknown ground in a newly burgeoning home video game market. So much amazing NEW ideas were amassed in the original entries. Nothing really terribly new and engaging was introduced in this entry, outside of a few level design gimmicks. I think this game mostly relied on the greatness of the original two games to carry it, and it does for the most part. I just cringe when fucking ZOOMIE SCUM have the gall to say this is better than DKC 1 or 2. Please get educated and play the landmark games that made the series what it is before playing a new game and using that as your current precedent for game design.

Even though I do not care too much in the direction they went in with 9 and 10, this new formula is not terrible. The biggest sin this committed is that it feels extremely lazy, however. Not sure why I played all these Mario Party games. I pretty much pegged exactly the ones I thought I would enjoy the most.

Really not seeing the hype for this one. Thought this was largely repetitive, and did not really do anything that Zero Mission or other entries did not already do better. The metroid battles through the game were boring, game progression and backtracking was really tedious at times, and enemy variety was stagnant. I will say though, the boss battles towards the end were great. The big machine guy with the two piston arms pointing towards the screen had my jaw drop. Ridley true boss battle was much more enjoyable than Mother Brain, so I will give this game credit for that. The baby metroid at the end was cute. So yeah, not a bad game, but Zero Mission already did this; it is a much more uniform and robust package than this, and it came out 14 years prior.

The motion controls are total ass, the host is a horrific abomination that only an 8th entry in a dying series could produce, bonus stars are not based in skill anymore, and the Bowser space is totally meaningless. Not too much to like about this. I will say though, the Train map is probably one of the best in the franchise.

Really seems like a rough draft for the series with the privilege of hindsight, but a lot of great ideas were formed on this that were carried over to much more robust entries. Quite possibly the best part of this is how absolutely unforgiving minigames/bowser are, and how frequent chance times occur.

Although Nintendo continues to innovate even more in terms of world exploration, I still found this largely repetitive and easy. Some bits are extremely charming (2-D segments, brochures, and thankfully most of the music still), but the game is still too goddamn easy, and the new enemies/bosses are kinda lame (the Dark Souls-esque boss near the end was cool though). I was hoping this form of open-world was a decent return to form ala-Mario 64, but it did not quite satiate my appetite. Also, there is only so much you can do with a franchise that is 30 goddamn years old. 64 still did this type of thing perfectly. Also, I feel like they were borrowing ideas from Breath of the Wild (and vice-versa) in terms of the mumble-ese of the overworld characters speaking, and some of the landscape decisions. Also, I hate cappy.

Having online play is the only reason this game is decent. It rehashes good elements of the old games, but takes a lot of the soul out of it. The game needs DLC desperately as well. Only having 5 maps in the current year is egregious.

I think this series is at the point where they are beating a dead horse. There isn't much they can do with this series to make it fresh and still unique and enjoyable. They got lucky with Gold, but Gold itself just capitalizes on rehashing all the older titles. I still enjoy this game, but it just reminds you of how innovative, special, and revolutionary the earlier titles were.in comparison to this.
