Aw, thanks! Your Biscuits show reviews are always fun to read. I wish they were touring more, but I suppose I can budget seeing them better if they only play a handful of dates in a year :\
you know I had somehow never gotten around to playing Extreme Noise Terror much but this does indeed smoke! For 89 this was nuts! Thanks for the rec man, feel free to throw any good crust or metal you find my way!
Will definitely be checking out that Space Odyssey album. It sounds great.
The best Warzone (by far) is an early demo with Tommy Rat on vocals. I believe it was officially reissued a few years ago. It's so good that it made me re-evaluate my entire stance on that band, haha.
hmm maybe other mellow underground rap from the same era. specifically thinking of stuff like Slum Village "Fantastic Vol 2". or maybe a classic old New York rap record like Gang Starr "Moment of Truth"? it probably depends on what he likes about MF Doom, but those two are pretty universal.
Roustabout and When The Devil Goes Blind are 2 great Charlie Parr albums you should check out. I haven't heard all of his albums, but of the ones I have heard, these are the best. But usually when I listen to Parr I just put on a live show from archive.org.
