My sketchy album rating system:
Three stars means a few great songs redeem a less-than-perfect record.
Four stars means a solid listen all the way through.
Five stars means an essential classic or a personal favorite, you figure it out.

If I don't have anything nice to say, usually I don't say anything, if only because I want mostly what I like represented when someone clicks on 'visualize', but don't let that stop *you* from expressing yourself. There are times when other RYMers that lean more towards the pretentious and/or narrow minded ends of the spectrum give something a bad review and that makes me all the more curious to hear the album in question and sometimes it turns out to be great!

P.S. I just saw one of my reviews plagiarized on someone's blog so I guess people really do read this stuff!
