I enjoy good craft brews, a good live band, the outdoors, the indoors (why does this all sound like a personal ad?). Not a whole lot happening in my city, but I'm 6 hours (by car) or less from Toronto, NYC, Philly, Boston, Adirondacks, Alex Bay, Finger Lakes, Rochester, Cleveland, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Kingston Ontario, Montreal, etc. I like films about people, early Simpsons, satire, baseball, college basketball, playing lousy guitar, reading, writing short stories and failed novels, keeping my small business afloat in construction, mountain biking (although I haven't done much of that lately), going out to dinner, pubs (I know I said that already), basically doing anything with Lisa, my significant other.

I could do without hydrogenated/tropical oils (except on the outside), long winters, excessive bumper sticker people, and in-grown toenails.

My user name is derived from an instrumental song by Ultravox from 1980. My first 8 or 9 choices were taken. There already was an astradyne here from Italy. Also, I once googled the name and found 9 different companies with that name. They have all since gone under, apparently.

Regarding five star ratings, an album need not be flawless in order for me to rate it so highly. Less than 2% of my albums get that, so I guess I'm not being abusive. It just needs to make a new statement, or just possess that certain "something." Also, I occasionally change my ratings as my perspective changes.

***4 year update***

Most of the above still applies. Some things have entered my life since then, such as co-habitation, a beer mini-fridge, Netflix, and a few more grey hairs.

I have one of those upside down tomato growing thingies.

The positives are all gravy at this point, really.
