Despite what the above laundry list of artists you see above would seem to indicate ("apparently he digs indie rock! How Unique!" yawn...), I can find something I like in just about any genre you can name (yes, even classical). About the only thing I object to is any music that demands that I get up and dance, dance, dance! I despise Ska (Reggae & Dub are cool, though) and just about all mainstream hip-hop after Chuck D ceased being "relevant." Mainstream Country makes me vomit (no, seriously, try it sometimes! I literally blow chunks!) but I love early Johnny Cash, y'know, before he "found" Christ. Oh yeah, and gospel is SO not my thing (which the screen name should make obvious). Guilty pleasure: Marilyn Manson, of course!

About my ratings, if you care:
*****(10)--Pretty much perfect; a transcendent masterpiece. I try to use this sparingly, but sometimes the heart gets ahead of the mind.
****1/2(9)--Incredible, but not perfect.
****(8)--A great thing, but somehow not transcendent--maybe a great example of a certain genre (i.e. industrial or punk) that just doesn't rise above genre boundaries.
***1/2(7)--Very good, very listenable, very dependable--but very predictable as well.
***(6)--Good, tolerable--but just.
**1/2(5)--hold your horses, cowpoke! Some good tracks/elements, but mostly boring.
**(4)--Boring/silly but not actually painful.
*1/2(3)--Pretty bad and somewhat painful to listen to.
*(2)--Really awful and painful, but not the absolute worst...
1/2(1)--...'cause this is THE WORST. Actively, acutely painful. I'd rather eat my own shit.

Last time I went I imagined if I lived there and didn't like it, just not enough space to breathe. But it's still an incredible city to visit!

I might be crazy but after listening four of their songs I called to my local record store and the guy there ordered their " Aberrant Years " box set. Unbelievable how much good music comes from Australia. Lime Spiders, Scientists, Radio Birdman, Saints, X, Birthday Party and lots of more. Nick Cave being one of my biggest musical heroes since I heard " Mercy Seat " sometimes at late 80's. Thanks again so much man!

I forgot to mention that recommendations are always welcomed. I love to check out " new " bands. Of course I don't like them all but I'm gonna be soon on a huge Feedtime kick. Can't wait for that box set to arrive. It didn't even cost that much. Check out Career Suicide: Attempted Suicide. One of the greatest punk albums if not the best of 00's so far. If you love 80's American hardcore you'll love that too. Moon Duo's Occult Architecture has been spinning a lot here too. New album but it sounds better every time I listen to it.

I've seen David Yow live three times since 2009 (in reunited versions of Jesus Lizard, Scratch Acid, and even Flipper) and each time, he refrained from pulling out his testicles. I assume this has something to do with him getting arrested multiple times in the 1990s for indecent exposure. Anyway, the shows were still completely awesome, even with the lack of ballsack, but I do feel like I missed out on something in that respect.
