I don't write many reviews simply because to write reviews that would really satisfy me, I'd have to spend a lot of time. Time that I don't have, at the moment.
I also don't rate most of the albums I own because I think I should listen to an album really carefully before rating it, so I'm more concerned first of all in cataloguing the music I own without rating it. When I rate an album it means that I've listened to it more than once surely, or that it's an album really impressive/disgusting, so I don't have to wait to rate it.

My Rating System:

0,5* = Absolute piece of crap, unlistenable.
1* = For a moment you think you're safe, then you die.
1,5* = Yes, maybe, there's something good, but not enough! Absolutely!
2* = Still needs lot of improvement..
2,5* = Quite enjoyable, but mediocre. Even boring.
3* = Good, but something could've been better.
3,5* = Well done! But something is missing, maybe originality or else..
4* = Very good! Something to listen repetetively..
4,5* = Almost perfect. Stuck in my head.
5* = PERFECT. Sublime! I really love this.

Note the fact that my ratings are totally personal and subjective. Sometimes I give an album 5* more for emotions or memories related to it than for its musical importance.
