OK. Hot Rats is jazz fusion and mostly instrumental. Apostrophe (') is much easier to get into.

so I'm always recommending people the Against Me! album from last year, don't know if you heard that. recent things I've heard that were pretty darn good are Father John Misty "I Love You, Honeybear" Sufjan Stevens "Carrie and Lowell" and I relistened to Sigur Ros "Kveikur" a while back and it's great... my album listening has dropped off considerably as well though and mostly I just listen to disco singles over and over again

& I literally was listening to that Whenever, If Ever album and idk if you like it or not but it was really good

I posted about it on the Facebook group! There are some really good songs on it and it's an uneven album but I feel like it's probably better than Good News
