I don't dislike WEG but I have a lot of trouble with the genre tropes of post-rock in general. Mono and Kashiwa Daisuke are generally worse offenders as Japanese music goes.

But yeah, if you want stuff like them... Vampilia and Mutyumu are slightly more metallic versions of the same symphonic/electronic post-rock style. If you like Mutyumu, Mysterious Priestess and Gonin-ish are similar to that.

Yeah totally agree it's a post-hardcore masterpiece and will only get better with age in my opinion. Can't wait to see their next one!

don't watch SSY if you aren't prepared for heartbreak. That show is emotionally draining.
