Haha, seriously though, no harm done. Sorry you didn't dig it!
Apart from some of the repeating bass parts (like in Weld the Sky Pt. 1), everything was unplanned and improvised with a few pieces of equipment. Started with a short warmup to get all the knobs and dials sounding decent, and then just sorta rolled with it for an hour.
Coincidentally that album got me a gig when I was on the East Coast, which was fun to play. People talked a bit about the record itself at the gig, which was kinda weird but interesting to hear, haha.
Glad you like GAMESHARK, it's a fun, dumb project. Excited to get the third record out in the new year, it's completely different to the first two - but given the pretty rapid change from #1 to #2, I don't think it'll surprise people too much. Though #3 isn't Vaporwave in the slightest.
What sorta stuff do you make? I'll give it a whirl. :)
Appreciate the kind words, I do try to put some thought into most of my stuff (at least for the most part). The one thing I'm surprised more people haven't really looked into is my work as s e a s h e l l s. It was on NPR, got a write-up in a newspaper, and got some pretty nice boosts from the IP label when each has come out - yet there's only a handful of ratings (and most only for the first record). I'm glad some people are rating it, though. I guess I forget that not everyone who gave kind words about it/saw it played live/read about it also uses RYM and vice-versa. Putting out a final double album to end the trilogy early next year. It's kind of like a sample-laden collage meets GAS. Check that one out if you like odd collaged/ambient-ish work: https://s-e-a-s-h-e-l-l-s.bandcamp.com/
Honestly that description, whilst describing something that's probably.. bad - is actually really, really apt and I love it. I plan to share it with everyone, haha!
