Nagano Winter Olympics '98

A low-effort attempt to cash in on the winter olympics and one of the N64's worst games, Nagano '98 is a set of minigames based on events including skiing, snowboarding, speed skating and luge. All are poorly explained and significantly difficult despite involving little actual gameplay. For example, speed skating has you alternately tap the L and R buttons as you watch your skater automatically skate and turn around the track; trick events have you mash the A button to increase "power" as your character automatically pulls off an aerial; and the snowboard halfpipe event is a complete joke, your rider moving automatically and hilariously poorly-animated, as you enter button sequences that appear on-screen. The game's visuals are dire, so often horrifically aliased and a mess of glittering pixels that even the slalom flags in the skiing events are almost impossible to see. Half a star for the impressive ice reflections in the skating events is all I can muster for this garbage.
