My personal rating system:

0.5 Stars - There are very few, very few albums that I would ever consider giving this rating to. This rating states that there is practically no musical talent in that release at all and/or that it is 99.9% unlistenable to me. There are very few releases who have recieved this rating and it will always be that way.

1 Star - The album has some talent on it, but that talent is practially wasted space as the music is nothing I will more than likely never listen to nor care to keep in my collection.

1.5 Stars - This release may either have some talent, or something interesting about it, but it is a very dry release that still offers very little to me. I will still give the release a chance, but nothing is certain as to whether it will grow on me or whether I will get rid of it.

2 Stars - This rating belongs to albums that I, for the most part, feel I should like and enjoy, but don't for some reason or another. I'll usually find the album either with some talent, but a big lack of unoriginality, or perhaps the album has a very big piece to it that is very annoying to me. These are albums that I want to love, but there is something crucial that is holding me back.

2.5 Stars - The albums I would say are fair albums. They aren't amazingly excellent, but they aren't terrible either. There are parts I really enjoy while there are parts I think could be greatly improved on.

3 Stars - These albums are good album, they are interesting, perhaps with some very nice originality, but they still don't have quite what it takes to make them great. Still many of the are very fun.

3.5 Stars - These albums are great albums. There is obviously time that went into them and they hold a good solid position in my collection.

4. stars - Excellent! These albums are full of originality and excellent music that I, no doubt, find most enjoyable.

4.5 Stars - Phenominal. Very few albums have this rating, and it will always remain so. These album are albums I charish more than most for every reason that is good.

5. Stars. True masterpieces. These are fewer than any other except the lowest rating. These albums always leave me speechless. I rarely have words to do justice for these albums. To me, they truly are untouchable, flawless, one of a kind creations.
