This IP should be in the hands of CD Projekt Red, im sure they will do it justice, but sadly Paradox own it and CDPR are stupid enough to not pursue it. I have always wanted a CDPR VTMB game, i think it suits them well, they have incredibly talented writers, cinematic team, artists and composers. After Cyberpunk im sure their gameplay also got better, so combat and skill tree are probably going to be good. Only thing left is doing the class system justice, which i doubt they will because if they take the IP, then they most likely going to give it a bigger budget and that may come with some concessions.
I think The Chinese Room developer is NOT going to handle this IP right and the game is going to flop sadly. I love the World of Darkness tabletop and VTMB is a great game.
With CDPR team owning this IP we can get, great side quests with choice and consequence, engaging character arcs, good gameplay, great atmosphere, fantastic art direction, nice soundtrack and well directed cinematics, even if they falter on the combat and RPG mechanics side we are probably still going to get a better game than this.
I'd say Bioware, Bethesda or Obsidian but they are not giving me much confidence lately. VTMB is more in CDPR style than Bioware or Bethesda or even Larian who are more into CRPGs.
I dont know if im the only one who thinks like this! lol
No I agree - even 'Cyberpunk' has moments that're *very* 'Bloodlines' in terms of tone. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check but Chinese Room's 'Bloodlines 2' looks messy.
New gameplay does not look promising. Dialogue system looks very basic, pretty much Fallout 4 style and it was implied in the gameplay reveal that you pick the "aggressive" options for Brujah meaning there aren't going to be clan specific dialogues , you just have to pretend there's actual role playing. Playing as a pre-made character is another step back into Fallout 4 territory.
Combat looks extremely basic, Dishonored esque without the fun, and its implied that combat is more important/necessary here which doesn't bode well. Looks like your typical "crouch up to dumb AI looking at the walls then press the takedown button" stuff that a lot of games call stealth systems these days lol.
Graphics have absurd amounts of effects making it look very ugly and the character models aren't as good as OG Vampire, sad that 20 years on, original Source engine still looks better than modern games when it comes to faces lol.
No disrespect to the devs who are no doubt doing their best, but they seem way out of their depth for a game that deserves a lot more than what they're delivering here. Looks very low budget.

Yes sarcastically
No but actually yes
I need more information before I say yes
