i remember wanting this years ago but $125 was too much; now looking on amazon at least, there are literally no english copies left.

Structurally a complete fucking mess but battle mechanics + dungeon crawling + aesthetics + atmosphere elevate it to something very worthwhile.

On paper, this is the most wild JRPG ever, but the individual elements are both too basic and their synergy isn't as cool as it could have been.

The einherjar stories are way too short, which really blunts their emotional impact. Not to mention the loose plot threads and missing contexts. More interwoven narratives like Arngrim's would have made the game a lot better.
