Completely soulless

So apparently, the studio who made this is made up of former Dice devs who worked on Mirror's Edge and Battlefield. It makes a lot of sense from the outside looking in and has me excited to give it a try. Dice used to make some bangers.

Team multiplayer is so underrated here, the most fun I've had with competitive fps. The skill ceiling is incredibly high, your contributions feel like they matter, and you always making interesting decisions. Fight, flight, going for the objective, or healing a teammate. Each of these can be approached in numerous ways. A far cry from the twitch shooters where you feel like a headless chicken blindly shooting at anything that moves or the games that just funnel everyone into 3 lanes which make every match feel the same.

how can it be so fun and so ugly and offensively soulless at the same time?

This is so underrated here. This is easily the most fun I've had with a multiplayer FPS since the early days of Overwatch in 2016.
