A useless DLC that tries to put the spotlight on the least enjoyable missions from the base game: the arenas. That said, those missions allowed you to take them on one round at a time, and Moxxi makes you play, no kidding, 100 waves in a row to "complete" one of her three different arenas. It's an extremely tedious and punishing experience, as you're forced to rely on the ever-shaky BL1 second wind system if you get downed. This is frequent because of the random special effects that are added at the beginning of each wave, as one of them removes your shield completely. At the endgame (level 69), your shield will comprise 75% or more of your total health, and it makes some of the encounters near fucking impossible playing by yourself.
While I can appreciate that they tried to switch up the format by including bosses and those effects from before, 100 waves is an unreasonable amount of time to force someone to sit through, and it asks it of you not once but thrice. If you have lots of time on your hand, are overpowered (ie. play Lilith), or really love this game, go for it because it's something to do after you can't level up anymore or do more missions. For everyone else, it just accentuates the flaws in the BL gunplay and drains your soul.

This is easily the worst DLC I have ever paid for. Even the one convenient aspect of it, the item bank, is made useless if one maxes out personal inventory upgrades.
