I don't know why but this is genuinely one of the most unsettling games i've ever played. Maybe it's cuz of the sound design, it makes me feel so fucking uneasy while playing this with headphones
It’s a Police Riot Shotgun that shoots Shotgun Shells full of Rock Salt, mainly meant for less-than-lethal/non-lethal tasks, still sucks regardless & I would rather have an actual Shotgun that shoots Buckshot.
Played this when it came out and totally forgot to rate it. It's really cool, and one of the first indie horrors I ever played. It absolutely nails the atmosphere that made games like the original Silent Hill so great.
The only good bits were the music and sound design, everything else is pretty awful. I constantly thought about dropping it. It's a linear walking sim that "tries" to implement "survival horror" elements, but they just sort of feel irrelevant and tacked on since the rest of the game is so uninteresting. Guns and combat are pointless, shitty lockpicking mechanic, there's no health items or hp bar, and there's little to no fear of running out of ammo, to call this a "survival horror" game is a joke. There are frequent bits where you're just sitting there doing nothing or holding shift and w for minutes at a time. And since the majority of the game takes place in an underground tunnel, there's little to no environmental storytelling / points of interest so it's all just painfully drab and boring. The game tells majority of its story through finding random notes, while also spelling literally everything out to you, so when environmental things do actually happen, its symbolism is so painfully obvious it leaves nothing to the imagination. Unless you're fairly new to the the horror genre, I don't see how this game is very scary either. I wanted to like this game so bad since it's been on my wishlist for a while but ugh
I liked the atmosphere but promptly quit the game once it introduced hostile entities that just beeline it straight towards the player while noclipping through walls like, come on

Not sure whats the deal with it, seems to deal less damage overall than the Ruger pistol
