even as someone not as big on the original considering other games i adore, this feels like such a letdown. the lack of humor would be fine if the writing and gameplay was on point, but the former doesn't feel as thought-out or is overexplanatory in terms of world building, is unwilling to give any sort of insight into its MC as it does in painful to the point it still doesn't really feel like it's her story, has some utterly bizarre character moments, and the latter is just extremely boring since like half the game is as a solo party
