I dunno Thrent, I kinda dig the concept. I like the emphasis on trying to predict your opponent's next move and that you have a wide range of counter-moves, where even retreating a step back has tactical depth.

If only there was a better way to replenish your health, because the hordes of opponents running to face you take their toll. Either that, or limit the endless number of opponents coming. The gate trap is bullshit, too.

Its a hilariously dull game. Its also probably the first attempt at a more complex fighting game. You can move forwards and background, and either punch or kick. By pressing the same button multiple times it goes into a combo. You can also run, and its vital for you to do so since the game spawn enemies at intervals, so unless you want to play this for a long time its a good tactic to run until you reach the next fight. The fights are not very challenging though. You just need to learn the range of the kick and spam it when the enemy enters that range. Do it for everysingle enemy in the game and the damsel in distress is yours. I will praise it for the work done in the animations, those are pretty good. Overal its a really boring and repetitive game.
