Filling up their pockets
In farmville you raise your own farm, at the painstaking slow speed it usually takes to grow a farm. Unless you pay to speed things up.

This game was actually one which manage to bring a lot of people to gaming, but unfortunatly i dont think they stuck around. Is there anyone who looks at their time spent in this game in a nostalgic fashion? Its satisfying to grow your farm slowly, but the pay to win infiltrates the game so much that it becomes annoying. Even the interactions you have with other people become annoying, as you get consistently asked for seeds and whatnot.

Harvest moon and Animal Crossing are this game done right.

This is one of those Facebook games I played a lot back in the day, it's a rip-off of Sim city when it comes to managing your virtual farm only it isn't anywhere near as fun thanks to ridiculous load times for the activities you can do that can only be bypassed with microtransactions.
