Title
Its a terrible game, you know that from the moment the terrible menu music starts. You control ET and must go around very similar looking levels in search for broken parts in order to build something to go home. And then there are a lot of pitfalls everywhere and scientists that run after you. You get some woods to walk around in, but the controls are terrible. ET keeps falling into the pits and you wont even know why. Everything from a audiovisual standpoint is bad as well, even for the atari era. Though it is not the worst game ever made as far as im concerned, it is a terrible game and one that disappointed way too many people.

    Definitely on team “not that bad” for this one. It is quite ambitious at its time. Even more impressive that it was made at short amount of time with one guy! So I do think this game is overhated.

    fascinating story of development and fascinating game to be made by just one guy but i'd rather look at a C64 demo made by just one guy from the same time period for 24 hours straight than play this
