really needs a dark arisen style expansion to be as good as the og but id still say this was worth the wait also is it just me or did the story make even less sense than the first one, maybe thats just because i was trying to apply to much of the first games lore to this? not a bad thing btw i love the first games story but like this one almost seems its going for a slight meta angle and im just wondering wheres the seneschal
the differences between the combat in this and the first one are also interesting. id say its higher highs and lower lows in DA where mystic knight is the most fun you can have in a video game and warrior is the worst thing ever sent upon earth. But in this its all more ironed out with warrior and the mystic knight replacement (rip) duo spear being about the same in general complexity and fun. even trickster while id say is the worst vocation its far from DA warrior but duo spear is not a replacement for mystic's special brand of crack
Trickster is interesting. If the game had more difficult bosses I'd be interested to see how it fares but as is it's actually really good with proper setup. Trickster with fully upgraded (either dwarven or batthali) wep + draw aggro augment makes you extremely consistent at drawing aggro, and makes your dragon move do a shit ton of knockback dmg when needed. It lets you set your party as double sorcerer + flex, pref archer cause melee's can still take dmg even with u taking aggro. those guys can just completely shred bosses if you correctly turn the boss away from them
yeah again trickster is far from bad but having to rely on pawns for everything can make scraps with smaller enemies while adventuring take longer than they should. For me the best thing about it is its a great excuse to run around and deal environmental damage and throw enemies at each other lol
