Title
It improves quite a lot on Re:Digitize; nearly all the recruitable Digimons have a function in the town instead of being just there. And adding a second partner Digimon does alleviate the problem of starting over again from square one once your Digimon dies. Although this does seem to make the problem worse because you're soon bound to a cycle in making sure that the stats for both Digimon are not decreasing per generation. So this means spending an hour or two just grinding in the gym or battle until the younger Digimon is strong enough to allow you to progress through.

Ultimately, the fun factor dramatically decreases once the cycle becomes pretty much mandatory towards the end of the game.
