Most of the positives that I have for this game have to do with nostalgia for Bionicle as a whole. The game itself is a good concept with fun story and cutscenes, although all of them are mostly repetitive and overly goofy Piraka. There are six heroes for you to switch between, each one having a unique attack or weapon, and figuring out how to switch between them quickly is pretty fun. The hero mode was really cool to me and the theme playing when you get it is a masterpiece, but I really wish it would be an ability that you could activate. If you even collect half of the pieces on the level, you have enough for the hero mode required to move through the arenas. If you happen to destroy more objects than that to farm for money, you are forced into hero mode early and the hero theme, as good as it is, annoyingly blares for minutes before you reach the required spot . Speaking of action music, there are only two songs per Piraka, one for progressing through the level and one for fighting enemies. If there is at least one enemy within a large range of you, the fighting music will start blasting and the soundtrack will flip between songs pretty often depending on whether enemies are in range. The controls are super clunky, you have a "turn" control, a "strafe" control, and a "look" control. You can't look around while strafing, you have to stop moving left or right to be able to turn around. On controller you choose either to bind left stick to turn or strafe. There is no in-between. As far as completion, getting all of the achievements is pretty stupid. From the first couple of levels you need to have beat the final boss of the game to go into certain rooms. Meaning you can't 100% a level until you have beat the final boss. This means that to get 100% completion, you will need to rebeat every single level in the game again. Not that completion gets you anything, just a check on the board. By the start of the second world (out of 6), you can already unlock all of the hero abilities and weapon upgrades, which means you have to go through the rest of the game with the same equipment, so progression through the rest of the levels is pretty much the same. The worlds themselves are pretty well designed, each having a unique soundtrack and color palette, as well as different objects to collect. Quality-wise, there are few positives to this game, there is little motivation to fully finish it 100%, and the mechanics are not too fun for gameplay. But for nostalgia's sake, it is definitely worth it if you've got nothing better to do.

The frequent amount of times you would go into god mode and how that always replaced the level’s unique theme really made this game quite boring to play
That game was designed with kids around the world (often without knowledge of english language) in mind that weren't that sharp in understanding how to play video games and especially, how to complete them. It IS a flawed game with broken mechanics, but the music, aesthetics, and fun character animations are worth playing the game if you are fan of the series. Also - the way the unlockables, and by these I mean levels, abillities and unlocking Pirakas is constructed, this game in 2006 encouraged you to passionately complete it in 100%, which for kid I was back then, that was pretty fucking awesome.
