I really wish I could recommend this one, but I don't think I can in good faith.
...Iru! is a first person adventure game about a group of high school students trapped in their school on the night of the lunar eclipse as they try to survive until the morning. There's some neat ideas (really great atmosphere for this kind of PS1 game, I'll give it that) and the story is basically Lovecraftian fanfiction, but it takes forever for any of the spooky shenanigans to actually happen and 90% of its gameplay is spent just wandering around the school looking in every single room hoping you can finally talk to someone or see an event that triggers another event on the other side of the school. There's a few aggressively adventure game-y puzzles, but luckily they're not too obtuse and are basically in the camp of "find item to insert in here" kind of quests.
The overall big issue is that it's just kind of boring and dry, and its only saving grace is that it's such a short experience that takes maybe 3 hours to get through and see everything. I just don't think it's worth it unless you have the specific mind disease that lets you force yourself to play poorly paced adventure games.
