I don't like platformers but stuck with this exceptionally difficult one because it controlled so well and the story/protagonist were compelling. Art didn't always land for me. Really special experience.

Made me cry harder than any other piece of media I can remember experiencing. Poignant, ridiculous, funny. Really a complete work. A favorite.

Can't think of anything I would change but some points did have to Google which is only reason for any deduction. Incredible. Art is excellent, sound is excellent. The Leshy boss fights are beautiful. Manages spooky, humor, and just style simultaneously. Nails multiple different aesthetics. The card game smartly isn't too difficult but it's mechanically really sound for something basic and satisfying to play. I wouldn't want to to be too challenging. It's mostly about the story and experience. Exceptional!

All the expected, fun Yakuza nuttiness. Some awful combat and boss battles. Somehow missed almost all of the Majima encounters. End credits roll to Amazing Grace! Incredible.
