I love An Awesome Wave. I definitely wouldn't have found out about it if it wasn't for RYM. I don't even think I've heard anything about it outside of this site.

I know that, for me, I tend to rank albums that grown on me over albums that I will initially give a high rating to. Mostly because the albums I initially give high ratings to tend to eventually go down in my esteem. This is probably why I try not to review albums that I've just listened to and wait until I've listened for at least the third time before writing a proper review.

Most of my favorite bands these days are bands that I didn't like at all the first time I listened to. Radiohead especially. I seriously despised Radiohead during my younger years, but as I got older and I started to listen to them more seriously, I really grew to like them, and eventually grew to love them.
