its my first year actually living in the city and so far its great theres so much to do and its definitely a nice change from the small town suburbs i grew up in.

I often feel like whenever I find a band/album/game/film that I love, I almost never get in on the ground floor. Usually the good years have already come and gone, everything that needs saying has already been said, etc etc.

With that band, I was lucky enough to live in the same area, go to the same schools, have connections through acquaintances and so forth, so I was seeing them develop in real time, and seeing them live along the way. I was at their final show. While they aren't a well-known band, I consider that show to be the most special show I've ever been to.

I'm really glad you like them. I think they're the best band that almost nobody knows about.

Yeah oftentimes I feel like I've barely scratched the surface, it's a tough genre to feel well versed in. Just so many little niches and avenues and artists! Nice that you can give it a bit of exposure on your radio show :)
