i don't really think the Miles_Gurtu album has any house music. even the two dancey ones at the end, "Inductive" and "The Big Picture", were jungle music.
Close on the calculation. I'm still behind on evaluation of 2016 actually. I've got about 2607 albums in my music player, currently. According to my math (there's a fair amount of eps on my list) it averages out to about 46 minutes/album. I listen 8-10 hours a day (most at work) - anything 3 stars/below I've only listened to once, most 3.5/5 as well. So 80-90% are only listened to once, that accounts for only 200 or so days of the year, then I listen to 4+ at least twice. I've actually been re-evaluating (with a new rating system) my 4+ records recently. I personally felt my 2015 and 2016 lists to be too shallow an experience (but they were fun).
Also I take issue with 'valid' opinion. While I agree if you're implying my 2016 list is pretty knee-jerk but in my experience my ratings never really move more than .5 in any one direction, no matter how many listens. I can only ever recall once or twice where an album 'clicked' after numerous listens. Maybe Can's Tago Mago which I gave 3.5/5 many years ago and now believe to be a 5.
The album was actually recorded in Zimbabwe, South Africa, England and Vermont, according to this source: http://www.music.org.za/artist.asp?id=249
