Game collection
My Rating System:
5.0: Albums that have had a profound effect on me as person, and have stuck with me for years.
4.5: Amazing albums, usually the pinnacle of their respective genre
4.0: Exceptional albums, devoid of many flaws
3.5: Very good albums, worthy of multiple spins if not life changing.
3.0: Solid album. Enjoyable and competent, but likely lacking in originality or substance.
2.5: Acceptable albums. Inoffensive and usually competent, but universally unspectacular.
2.0: Sub-par albums. Has a few good ideas or is well played, but lacking in songwriting, production, concepts or a combination of all three.
1.5: Bad albums. Weak, uninteresting, boring and trite. Perhaps a few glimmers of competency, lost in a sea of wasted effort.
1.0: Offensive albums. So bad, they actually evoke emotions of disgust and annoyance. Devoid of anything good.
0.5: Pointless albums. So poor or lazy(worship) in every single way, it can't justify it's own existence.
On Ownership: I possess or used to possess almost every album I rate, but since I am just starting an analog collection(vinyl and tape), I will only tag something "I own this" if I own it on an analog format. MP3's and CD's are great, I am not anti-digital, but I'm excited about my new collection and want to catalog it.
