Thanks for the comment. I may well have rated PiL's Album too low, so have added it dutifully to my private "future listening" list. Nice lists of your own, by the way. Definitely the right kind of Buzzcocks anthology. And yeah, the self-titled LP is well worth it. Their later material is sometimes a bit hit and miss, but there's enough stuff with that old spark to keep me happy.
Didn't see you message til today, but if you haven't been to the Bay Area yet, I recommend Amoeba, Recycled Records, Groove Merchant and Street Light Records in SF, plus Rasputin in Berkeley, and Mod Lang in El Cerrito.
I'll give Waiting For The Floods another listen... as my review said I loved Castles in Spain back in the day, but will see if Avalanche is a good track too... cheers!
Despite the fantastic live show, I was always really disappointed that none of The Buzzcocks post-reformation records were any good...
Have you heard his 80's band 'Flag of Convenience' (also called 'Buzzcocks FOC' for a while)? They're well worth a listen or two.
