Credo:
1. I've listened too much music to stay favorable to new music discoveries. I really don't understand why some RYMers every week give 4,5 and 5 stars to every new shit. High appreciation of almost everything without any critical analysis is a sign of poor taste in music.
2. At the same time I don't get old farts that give 5 stars to everything that was released in 1960s-1970s just because it's "classic", or to the debut albums of any old band just because it was debut without any attention that it could be total rubbish.
3. I give my marks to releases/musicians without any attention to band's popularity or overall appreciation. Examples of popular crap are given in my list "Famous Rock bands that millions of people fap to". Also I have no intention to search weird/unknown/underground bands and give them 5 stars just because nobody knows about them.
4. I love music too much to stop scrutinizing new albums.
5. Sometimes I can be too picky while giving marks to albums and artists, but it's only because of point 1 (and beause of my cynical bastard syndrome, of course).
6. The greatest pleasure to me is to find something really outstanding in music, but it happens not very often - a couple of times a year. In most cases these albums are given in my "Best of" and other lists.
I am from Russia. Yes, we are crazy here and we want to conquer the world.
