Yep, just write a lot and maybe you'll hit an interesting thought or nice turn of phrase in there somewhere. That's what I did when I was 13 in 1990 and that's what I do on RYM now!

I'm not familiar with it at all. I think it seeped into certain pop electronic groups a few years back like Purity Ring, who Ive heard and liked. Ill take some recommendations.

Heh. With all of the movie-watching options available to us here in 2017, I play strange little head games with myself to decide on what to watch next. And tonight, the roulette wheel landed on Netflix and then landed on "Sharknado".

I don't know. I'd never seen it before. Maybe there was something there to write about.

I think I wrote my review in five minutes!

Now, I move on.

I saw the new Spider-Man at the Saturday matinee with low expectations and thought it was entertaining. I'll probably never see it again, though.

One thing that I came away with is that I'm curious now to re-read the old Steve Ditko comics. It's been decades. I had a hardcover collection of them when I was kid, but the 12-year-old me didn't understand why Ditko was so revered. I found his work awkward and dated. I was a dope. I was into Todd McFarlane (like everyone else). Today, I can appreciate Ditko a lot more when I see little pieces of it, but I haven't read the comics themselves in about thirty years.

Never read "Shade, the Changing Man", and now I want to. I'll check with my sources at Google for any reprints out there.

Didn't know about Ditko's fetish work. It seems like every genre fiction writer who got their start 30-60 years ago dabbled in a little smut under a pseudonym here and there for money. Comic book artists and illustrators no doubt have the same stories
