While I acknowledge disappointment at the unfinished album, I was willing to ignore this downside since it will no longer be an issue for me once we have both parts. On the other hand, if you are reviewing a release as its own entity, it is obviously fair game. I'm glad that you similarly acknowledged the brilliance of the music on the album despite your major gripe.

Yeah, I got to see the band a few weeks ago and I too was blown away. The vocals were indeed incredible live.

Kälter is amazing! You should like their debut album Spiritual Angel quite a bit too, it's one of the best MDM albums I've heard. Ubuntu is on a whole different level of delicious progginess.

Whatever happened to your very insightful 2012 list? It was very infromative and I really enjoyed reading your commentary and even discovered quite a some new names.

Thanks for your response :) I'm a big fan of your detailed reviews and I enjoy them even in the cases when I don't completely agree with your evaluations. I'm familiar with your Lexicon and actually I find it very interesting and certainly attention-worthy but it lacks chronological approach which made your 2012 so helpful for me. Because I'm still searching releases from 2012 in order to find some new names whose discography deserves a thoroughful exploration or maybe re-evaluate my opinion on some bands which put me off for some reasons in the distant past and your list was very useful for such purposes. So I'll be happy if you will pur it back some day (maybe, even in the expanded form) but I must state again - your Lexicon is ace too!

I'm currently going through your "Lexicon" list and I can't believe how much work you've put into it. Not only the length but the descriptions as well. I try to have descriptions when I make lists but that doesn't always happen. So, again, much respect for the time and effort you've put forth.

Also, I am happy to see someone else who not only entered into the metal genre largely via Cradle of Filth, but continues to respect them years later. I am mostly in the same boat.
