Hello, I am James, I enjoy weirdness.
Music is cool. I like to collect it. I also like to make art, go to shows, eat Thai food, hummus and veggie burgs.
My favorite genres are: Experimental anything, Noise Rock, Psychedelic, Jazzcore, Stoner Metal/Doom, Abstract Hip-Hop, Free Jazz, Math-Rock, Shoegaze, Avant-Prog, Punk and other stuff.
Recommend me stuff. . I'll get to it eventually.

I really relate to sloths and I'm boring.

I actually stumbled across Hella way back based on their name alone. But yeah, I dig some math rock... I was pretty into it for a stretch during my long focus on post-rock and related stuff. I just searched my archives and I've got all sorts of stuff laying about -- 65daysofstatic, Cul de Sac, Crom-Tech, Heavy Vegetable and Slint to name the stuff that rings the most bells. I also like some of the mathy stuff from These Arms Are Snakes, Minus the Bear, and Mars Volta. I've also been known to listen to some Japanese noise/math like Boredoms, Tricot and Zazen Boys from time to time. How about you?

Oh, as far as live Ween goes, if you haven't listened already, you can't go wrong with shows at Stubbs BBQ (Austin, TX), The Trocadero (Philadelphia, PA), and The Wetlands (NYC, NY). However, perhaps my favorite tape is the Palais Extra show in Zurich, Switzerland on 1997-11-27. Love dem 90s concerts.

Great list! It made me pick up some great albums that I haven't listened in a while. Faus and Naked City albums I already listened. And a person who like Butthole Surfers can't be a bad person. Cheers from Finland!

Tough one... First two, From Her To Eternity and Firstborn Is Dead are great albums. Tender Prey and Let Love In are worth of checking out too. I have been his fan when Tender Prey came out and I heard Mercy Seat. That moment is one of the strongest musical experiences in my life. Your Funeral... My Trial is excellent album as well. I'm a huge Jesus Lizard fan and they used to say that The Birthday Party is one of their strongest influences.

If The Birthday Party isn't familiar to you pick up album called Hits. Perfect collection IMO. I really hope you found something that you dig. Let me know if you listen some of those albums or something else from his material and what do you think about it.

My most influental artists and bands are Nick Cave ( BD Party & Bad Seeds), Butthole Surfers, Flipper, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Killing Joke, Nirvana, Sonic Youth and laugh all you want, Hanoi Rocks. Their music made me what I am today. Mike Patton and David Bowie are also extremely important artists to me. List would go on but I came to recommend you some Nick Cave albums and not to tell story of my life lol.

    Wishing you great listening experiences:)
