I started using this site because my music collection and wishlist was becoming too big for me to manage easily (as it is, it's likely that I've forgotten to add a few things, and may have put down stuff that I no longer own), and also because I wanted to find people with similar taste. I'm not too picky, and I don't have biases against entire genres or styles (like most true music fans). If I hear something that I don't like ( and that I would give less than 3 1/2 stars) I probably won't add it to my page. Also, there are some bands that I have listed as favorites but don't own much (or anything) by according to my page, that's beacuse my relatives and friends have records by them that I borrow often and plan on owning for myself soon. All recommendations are welcome. I consider myself a an aspiring expert on punk (especially post-punk), many types of electronic music, avant-garde jazz, east coast hip-hop, and those rare "alternative" and "indie" bands who are independent and offer an alternative to something.
