Your Turn to die is a visual novel around a death game. It has a very similar premise and setting to the danganronpa games, and it focuses around a cast of 11 members that are kidnapped and isolated from society, and placed in games that usual result in the death of one or more of the participants.
The writing of the game is really solid. Most of the characters fall into anime architypes, but they have well crafted motivations and backstories, and the melodramatic interactions and banter between characters is enjoyable to present. I have trouble in keeping my attention with visual novels that last for more than a couple of hours, but this one effectively kept me interested the whole 15 hours I stuck with it. Its a shame that the last chapter is yet to be released, so only go into this one if you can accept an unresolved story (at this stage).
There is atually a good amount of variety in terms of minigames presented, even if they are all very shallow and without much polish. They are effective at giving a bit more diversity and surprising elements to the story.
Its clearly a game with a much lower budget than danganronpa, but it still delivers a captivating arty style and good UI. The few sound effects are also ok for the most part.
Even at this incomplete stage, its still a great engrossing visual novel.
