First of all, I'd like to give a big shout-out to Chillas Art for generously providing me with the Beta and the game for free. Much love <3.
Now, as for the game, it feels like a step backward from "Night Security," which I had a lot of praise for. I initially thought Chillas Art was heading in the right direction, but this game proved me wrong as it doesn't match the quality or scare factor of "Night Security."
The game's story lacks originality, essentially boiling down to a stalker plot reminiscent of "The Closing Shift" as a Vtuber with a twist at the end.
There are some positive aspects, though. The Vtuber simulation, while not well made, is a cool feature, and playing as a mini version of Aka Manto was a nostalgic trip. Additionally, the smartphone mechanics give off a "Fears to Fathom" vibe, even though they aren't as well-executed. However, the game's praise stops there. It does have occasional scares, but overall, it fails to deliver a genuinely frightening experience.
The chase scene is interesting, with the necessity of listening to footsteps, but it lacks genuine fear. The dream sequence is a nice touch but feels somewhat unnecessary and confusing in terms of distinguishing between dream and reality. The decision-making aspect of the game is good, and the absence of quantity-over-quality endings is a refreshing change.
The most disappointing aspect of this game is its lack of polish. While I'm accustomed to Chillas Art's games not being particularly polished, this one takes it to a new level. First of all, the reflections and skyboxes are illogical and random, to the point where disabling reflections altogether would improve the looks of this game 100%. Furthermore, all the bugs from the beta still persist, such as the disappearance of buildings on the balcony on day 2 or 3 (I'm no longer sure). You can also see the end of the map at the crossroads or the balcony if you look to the left or right. This game looks incredibly unfinished and rushed, I'm not sure why it was released in this state. I have my doubts about it getting fixed.
In summary, this is a very generic Chillas Art release, offering nothing particularly exciting or interesting. It's quite disappointing, especially after the previous good game.
