One Finger Death Punch is a 2d beat em up/rhytmn game. It looks like one of those stickmen Newground games that were popular in the early 00's.
In the game you are given a huge set of stages in which you must defeat waves of incoming enemies. There are special rules for each stage, like limiting the weapon you can use or only counting certain types of kills. The game is controllable though only two buttons, attack left or attack right, but its quite deep in its simplicity since you will get punished if you are caught attacking the wrong side.
That said, it still manages to be more deep and satisfying than 99% of the beat em ups out there that arent made by either Capcom or Platinum. It feels incredible good to play, not only because the animations are awesome, but because the impacts are felt. The game slowly increases in difficulty throughout the campaign, and by the end you will be pulling off some really impressive reflexes. Its incredibly addictive as well, due to the short nature of the stages (1-2 min tops each) and also as you keep for ways to challenge and improve yourself. It took me 5 hours to beat the campaign, which unlocks a higher difficulty mode.
There is no story whatsoever, and its very obviously a game made on a very limited budget.
I had a blast with this game, and i fully recommend it to fans of action games

Campaign mode is way too drawn out, there's not enough variation to justify it being that long. Even some sort of an excuse plot would've made it easier to bear. The visuals are so busy (not even in a good way, just in a clusterfucky Flash dev "gotta make this look not lazy" way) that it's a miracle that the action can still be parsed at this speed.
But yeah, still very enjoyable. The video message at the end is heartwarming.
No point at buying this game over the sequel, One Finger Death Punch 2. It has better qol improvements, better controller support, and steam cloud saves to name a few.
