Linking When you mention an album, artist, film, game, label, etc - it's recommended to link to the item the first time you mention it. Doing so will make it easier to search for your post and give it more visibility. To link an item, use the search box above, or find the shortcut that appears on the page that you want to link. So the second in the throwback Mega Man games, what’s it like? There are some qualities that are just assumed about these NES-styled Mega Man games like great retro graphics with awesome designs. The music is consistently great. The game just feels fulfilling to play, although some enemies were troublesome like Tsurare Stamp needed an actual weakness.
The weapon selection is pretty good but I don’t think the arsenal you get is as well-rounded as Mega Man 9. It’s a pretty mid-tier Mega Man weaponset, even with all the special uses you can find for them. They’re very specialized and its hard to use some of them optimally whereas the Triple Blade was quite useful most of the time.
The levels are pretty good, my favourites being Pump Man’s stage and Strike Man’s stage, although the latter is quite difficult. The Wily stages were a letdown though, especially the first one which has three bosses against three different machines emulating old Mega Man bosses. The progression of this game is pretty similar to the game before it but the twist they do in the Wily Stages was quite welcome.
The economy on this game is a lot more forgiving than Mega Man 9, perhaps too forgiving. Items are cheaper so by the time I got to the endgame Wily stage gantlet, I had nearly 400 screws ready to blow on E-tanks and other items (this is also because you accumulate screws across game overs and if bang your head up against levels you can obtain lots of them). I gotta say I loved how useful Eddie could be in this game. He’s cheap to buy uses for and sometimes he’ll give you E-tanks!
Maybe a bit rote after Mega Man 9, but Mega Man 10 is seriously entertaining!

I kept dying to the miniboss in Sheep Man's stage so I switched to Easy to check it out, and it's so insultingly simple that it actually makes me feel bad about myself lol. Gonna just knock it out real fast and head back into Normal, especially since it seems the octopus guy can be killed easily in one charge cycle anyway
hard mode in this sucks ass dude whoever put those parachute bombs in every pit should be forced to play every mega man maker level with a negative rating as punishment. and the guy who locked a bunch of bosses move behind the difficulty setting should get a fate worse than death because come on. pump, sheep, chill and commando man should just be like that in normal mode
