Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

A game that I associate so many fonds memories and nostalgia with. It's one of those games that is by no means perfect, but I can't help but feel that warm, cozy feeling that only some games can provide when I think about Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. I have tons of great childhood memories playing this game: from spending time laughing at the campy dialogue with my cousin staying up early in the morning playing through it; to unlocking all of the characters with friends all throughout the winter after I got my Xbox 360.

It's simply one of those games that's a blast to play and nothing more. It's by no means some important game, nor does it have excellent writing or a great story, but what it did offer to me are a lot of irreplaceable memories that only video games can provide. For that, it's a game that I can say I appreciate and will always recommend.

I remember playing this game in high school, I think I rented it from our local game store. It seemed like a cool game on paper, you play as any of the main Marvel super heroes and team up to fight many of the villains from the Marvel universe. It plays like a basic top down action game, you have basic abilities and fight with a team of 3 others and fight basic bad guys and then work your way to the boss at the end of the level. If you play the game with friends its mildly fun, without friends its kind of boring. I mean I can't say much, the story is pretty standard good vs evil super hero stuff, you get a pretty good variety of heroes to play as, and its a fairly short game. I personally am not a huge fan of this style, but again it becomes decent with friends.
